1969 S Penny With Doubling. MD Or DD?

Not sure what kind of doubling it is though. I hope my pics were ok. Please let me know what this is. All I can see is the reduction in size of the verticals on LIB, would Be MD. Tried to doctor it a bit, best can be done. Notice how on your coin the LIB is noticeably reduced in size. The actual 2 DDO's of 69S's are at the bottom. Note how doubling will VISIBLY increase the total size of the device or in the second, not even be on that device of the coin at all.(002 affects date) Edited by Crazyb0 05/11/2018 3:29 pm Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/11/2018 4:59 pm On LIBERTY it is MD. Not the big DDO. When searching for doubled dies, don't look at the edges of the devices. Most doubled dies show douling on the centers of the devices. Look for the spread of the devices. When you look at the edges of the devices, you will find Machine Doubling that was caused after the coin was struck. (actually a reduction of a normal devices) Look for the spread of the devices.
