You coin has been acid dipped. Acid will remove evenly from all sides the metal as it eats it away. Place your coin over a normal one. You will see that is is thinner and small around. They do get worse the longer they are left in acid.

Yep, your coin was dipped in acid, causing your coin to be slightly lighter in weight. The acid ate away at your coin (Post Strike Damage).
