Just found this 1992 P quarter that is missing most if not all the in god we trust. Is this normal wear, or a grease die?

Since the rim is not worn and George is in good shape, I would guess grease.

Grease almost totally filled the left side devices. Even with as much pressure as used on during the coin striking process, grease still prevents the strike on those devices.

Nice find! It was caused by a Grease Filled Die. There was a lot of grease on the left side of the die crevices, causing the strike to become partially blocked. Sometimes, if there's enough grease in the die, it can fully block the devices from forming.
