Folks please review this picture. Look under the horses neck. Then follow the fence post. Just left of the bootom rail, you see a large Cud maybe. All photos I've seen don't have this on it. Thoughts?
A Cud is the breaking away of a die on the outside edge of the die. Die chips happen on the field or sometimes on devices. I don't see either on your coin from the image provided. A Kentucky Cud on the left side of the rim:
I think I see what your talking about. On the bottom slat in front of the legs it looks like PMD. Maybe a coin hit it and bunched the metal up. Def not a Cud though.
