Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4404 Posts	Posted 05/17/2018 1:09 pm The "doubling" of the bust is definitely Die Deterioration rather than hub doubling. The die scratch is not in the same place. The one pictured on Wexler's site is much farther to the west. The date doesn't appear to have as much extra thickness as WDDO-001 but there is something going on with the five, whether it is hub doubling or Die Deterioration I can't really tell. There might be something going on with the R as well but the lighting in the photos is a little weird so I can't tell if it is a notch or a shadow. I do not believe this is WDDO-001, but it could still be a very minor DDO. I can't say for sure with these pics. There is another 1985-D DDO on coppercoins, did you try to match those die markers?
