Hello to the Coin Community Family!

I am a new member to this forum and already have my first question that I am hoping someone can help me with!

I am struggling to identify the coin shown in the pictures. I believe it's a Turkish Ottoman Empire 22K gold coin, but I am not clear on any other specifics.

Any help would be fantastic - please and thank you!

Ottoman Empire
1327 (1909) Coins are usually additionally dated with a number of the ruler's year of reign.

probably 25 Kurush by the size

I have limited knowledge of these coins, but this might get you started.

Based on the size of your coin relative to a U.S. quarter, it looks like your coin has a diameter of about 18 mm, which likely makes it a 50 kurush coin of Turkey/Ottoman Empire. As mentioned above, the date can be found on your second photo, at the bottom of the inscriptions just inside the wreath (after turning the photo 90 degrees clockwise) and is AH1327 or 1909, when Muhammad V ascended the throne. It looks like the regnal year is 10, the last year of his reign.

If the coin is authentic, it should weight 3.6 grams.

The condition looks quite nice from your photos. If it is authentic, it should be worth quite a bit more than its gold content.

You should find a jeweler who can test it for gold.
A lot of replica's are made for belly dancers costume.
But yours looks very nice.
