I've been searching, and searching. Did I finally pull a large Cud? Hopefully, this is a good one?

Now that's what you call a Cud! Very nice find and it's the real deal! This has a good premium (worth maybe 10 or 15 dollars). A Cud happens when a piece of the metal from the die breaks off, causing it to leave raised blobs on coins (incused on the die remember). Make sure you get this coin in a 2x2 as soon as possible.

I'm hooked. The wife hooked me up with 40.00 in rolled coins. She said I was crazy, but I will prove her wrong. Where is the best place to look into selling? ebay?

Could there also be a die crack on the obverse just above the quarter ?

I'm glad you like doing this. ebay would be the best place to sell error coins as people will bid crazily on them. Just make sure you don't try to sell damaged coins to people. And yes, that's a Die Crack on Washington's bust. :-)

The U.S. coins used to be the same.
Obverse with bust and date on that side. Reverse had the design on it and the denomination on the reverse.
Now the quarters have the bust with the denomination on the obverse. An the date and the design on the reverse.
Confusing?
