I purchased 8 1859 large cents in an ebay auction a couple of weeks back got them in the mail yesterday.

I purchased them hoping that I would find some of the Haxby die pairs, it ended up that I already had 6 of these coins and found 2 die pair that I didn't have. I also got lucky and found 1 DP9 coin not a dramatic DP9 on it but a lesser known one that never made the cut for the 65th edition of 2011 Charlton coin book.

Edit: Haxby PC-59-651 65+J23

I'll post picture's of it I have a better one in my collection in better condition so this becomes an extra. All tough I have found 2 of these DP9 coins one in the past VF-30 and this one not the good of condition maybe VG.
I seldom see them or come across them when searching for 1859's has any one else come across any of these I find them very hard to find, it just has a sliver of a double 9 on the right side about half way up the 9.

Yes since I changed my Adobe reader I can't get the nice close up pictures I used to get, but if a person goes to the Haxby site and look up # PC59-651 in the identify # column or go to ID my coin press on the 9 on the picture of the Reverse all the DP9's will show up scroll down to J-23 that's the 9 I'm referring to.

Sorry for the poor picture's I'll have to work on that.

The J23 reverse was also paired with Obverse 65a after it's use with Obverse 65.

I think it is a bit harder to find than some of the better known repunched 9's.

Here's a photo of what it looks like. Just a little doubling on the right side. Not a real obvious repunch unless you enlarge it a lot.

I actually like the RP'd 5 more. But still a nice find.

Are you collecting all the die pairs?

I don't really target them KHatt but put them in a box that I have with the Haxby #'s on a 2x2 holders when I find them I have lots left to find and look for.

Thank you Phil310 and Viper for the help in bringing up some picture's of the DP9 I was referring to in this post. I think I figured out what I changed on my scanner my picture's should come out better now.
