1994 P Quarter With Missing Tail Feathers

gmanp135 New Member United States 37 Posts	Posted 05/19/2018 11:44 pm Can someone please help me determine what type oif error this is,it appears that half of the tail feathers are missing along with some of the left side wing feathers,I am new to this so any help greatly appreciated. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74770 Posts	Posted 05/19/2018 11:48 pm This is just a guess, but maybe the missing tail feathers were caused by an over polished die (To get rid of Die Clashes and it also extends the life of the die). gmanp135 New Member United States 37 Posts	Posted 05/21/2018 10:53 pm Sorry, storm took out internet and electric,hopoe these pictures help.the circled areas are missing feathers,the arrow points to doubling?of beak,the red line through leaves appears to be a die crack? But the lack of grease on the arrows not filled, I feel we can rule out grease. But have never seen the tail feathers missing before. The question that haunts my mind is WHY?
