This is most likely one of the many ebay fakes produced in Juanito's Garage, Ltd., to mimic a mint cancelled coin. This is a fully struck coin that has been modified, how I'm not sure, but notice the rim remaining in the pix, it is smashed like the rest is, also note the angled effect, it slipped in whatever hydraulic press was used. Here is a true mint cancelled coin: http://www.error-ref.com/canceled-waffled/

We need more images. Edge. reverse and a closer view. It looks like a cracked issue. But I need to be more convinced first. The location of the rim is exactly correct, it doesn't look bent. So more angles of images. I would like to see if the areas showing the copper layer is has teeth marks on it or if it is coarse, crystal like on the inside of the opened area.

It looks like it was cut with a waterjet machine.

This is a genuine error. A carbon steel bristle from a descaling brush was rolled into the coin metal strip, splitting the clad layer. The steel bristle fell out before rolling was completed. These errors are more compelling when the steel bristle is retained.

Very nice find! Thank you for your input Mike Diamond! Webdog, I'm not sure how much value your coin has. I know it's a premium over face value, but I don't know how much. Ask Mike Diamond and see what he thinks.
