It is all Machine Doubling. The die that struck your coin was normal, but after the strike, the machine altered the devices on your coin. MD in not the same thing as a doubled die. On a doubled die, the die was hubbed incorrectly. The doubling is on the die. mD can also happen on doubled dies also, but not on your coin.

John1. One light source on a keyance microscope at work. It's meant for fine detail review of automotive interior air bags. You can use other filters but there is only one main light beam

yeah, the lighting in these photos is creating a ton of glare which makes it hard to decern detail from them. I agree with MD.

Is the light source hot? If the light is a distance to the coin, you could diffuse the light a bit to remove glare from the images. If the light is too bright you might try white bond paper. If the light is not to bright you could make a curtain with a plastic grocery bag and a coat hanger: Then place the curtain between the light source and the coin/scope. That will but a lot of the glare. Even secondary light can be an issue. So placing paper in the direction of the unwanted light will prevent that glare from being an issue: I use scotch tape to hold them up. Or you can use facial tissue to block unwanted light. Move your and around the coin area to determine it there is an unwanted light source. Then place something to block it in the direction necessary.

Coop. The light source is not hot. I can use your recomendations on blocking out light spices. The scope has a dimmer on it. I can try a few more lower light pics if you think that would help?

I seeing Machine Doubling. Machine Doubling always reduces the devices and is shelflike in appearance. You'll eventually get the hang at this, but it will take some time.
Errers and Varietys.
