Apparent reeded edge dents on uncirculated 2017 Indiana ATB Quarter? In one of Ken Peavey's videos, he shows some of these (I think) that he has kept, but are they worth keeping? And how did this happen? Thanks!

See those nicked on the face/cheek? Coin isn't completely "uncirculated", its been at least in a Mint sewn bag(transport) or machine rolled (mechanically processed) either, Mint(only if OGP Marked), Fed depositories(armored car contractors, or individually wrapped by banks from bags. How do I know? The surface has nicks and a loss of luster.

Who is Ken Peavey? A YouTube self proclaimed coin guru of cherrypicker fame? I don't follow most of these because 80% is a hype, coins not really errors and will not retain value over the test of time. Stick with well documented coin errors and known mint anomalies.

Crazyb0, yes, it came out of a third party roll. I measured the length between these dents, and they match the length between reeds on the edge, so all I can assume is that another quarter was pressed into it.

But I thought Ken Peavey was well known! He's in a lot of the main coin Facebook groups and has a blog called the 1 Million Pennies Project. He's a wealth of correct info (as much as I've read from him aligns perfectly with other trustworthy sources), but I can't say for sure why he is keeping quarters like these.

Maybe he's drilling holes in them and using them as washers? Doesn't he know that Home Depot sells washers? LOL

That kind of damage can happen right at the press as the coin drops into the bin, long before it goes into any kind of bag or paper roll.

Yep. That damage could occur as soon as the coin drops into the bin. There is NO value. It DECREASES the value.

It's a spender.

None of which would remove it from the Uncirculated catagory. If it did there would be no such thing as a MS Morgan dollar.

Presuming these marks are incuse, they represent contact marks from the edge of another quarter. Since it's post-strike damage, it has no value.

It's just Post Strike Damage from another coin. Worth face value. Spend it.
