Tryin' very hard to focus more on Greece (along with a consistent effort to find one of those pesky coins minted in 1491 AD), but somehow picked up this Denarius from the Roman Republic (circa 90 BC). @chrsmat71, does a pretty good describing his example of this coin, so I won't repeat those words here:

except to note that the control marks on mine are D and A on the obv and T on the rev. The attribution is RSC Calpurnia 11, Crawford 340/1, and Sydenham 665a.

I don't think I'd be able to pass on that one either. When the Republic was still a Republic for a bit more years.
