Another Emperor I did not yet have! AE Antoninianus of Carus (282-283 AD)
Don't have much information from seller ("Ancient Roman Coin" is not very helpful) but appears to match RIC V II-128. Slightly oval flan, reverse looks to have a bit of roughness, but overall it looks in decent shape.
(A far sight better than I will probably look after 1860 years in the ground...)
I don't have a weight or diameter yet, probably 20-21mm.
Obv: IMP C M AVR CARVS PF AVG / radiate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right
Rev: VIRTVS AVGG, Jupiter at left handing globe to Emperor at right.
TR (Tripolis) centered below the two figures; XXI in exergue.

Carus didn't last long as Emperor; he was already 60 when he took the purple and would rule for only two years before he died of natural causes and old age, or, more mythically, when his camp tent caught fire after being struck by lightning. He was succeeded by his sons Numerian and Carinus, both of whom were dead within two years, also under bizarre circumstances.
