Hello everyone, It's been awhile. Curious if you guys can help me with this one. I came across a nice 1983 Lincoln Cent and was looking it over after I placed it in a flip and noticed this weird error on cent. It's stamped on there and can be seen with the naked eye.
The coin is in really good condition overall.
Any advice/help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Fuzzy317: That's what I was thinking at first. I've dealt with bubbles before on coins and popped them. This one won't pop and feels solid like it was stamped on at time of press. I'm just not sure what would of caused it.
That's a Gas Bubble. This is very common on the 1983 Cents as the U.S. Mint was having problems with the Copper plating Zinc Planchets. These aren't collectable and is worth face value.
It's a strange bubble if that's what it is. Since it looks like a micro something or other crashed landed on the coin during printing. The E even has something on the bottom of the letter sticking up. It almost looks as if the building was printed on the bottom and re-struck again or something occurred. Just not sure.
