I am still learning but I have only been learing the doubling in the letters. I just came across this one and it looked blurry so it stopped me.

It's more of Die Deterioration than strike movement, although there is some slight easterly movement. Deterioration moves the die metal and detailas towards the closest rim. It also makes the edges of the details mushy on the face of the die, remember the field of the coin is the surface of a die, those edges "round-off".

Anyway to get a closer straight on in-focused image of the date and mint mark together? Current images seem to blur details a bit to much when enlarge. Thanks, Doug.
