Insight Into This Foreign/Good-For Token

nautilator Valued Member United States 330 Posts	Posted 05/30/2018 7:30 pm This is something I've not seen before. It's apparently a good-for token that was struck on a foreign coin, a Swedish 1 ore. (It might be a little hard to see due to how dark this thing is.) Naturally, there's no information on this anywhere, and "S&I" doesn't really narrow down the list of suspects very much. What I want to see is, has anybody else come across something like this before -- a token stamped on a foreign coin? Any ideas on how or why it would have been made? Might this just be a trial strike? As it's Swedish I guess the maker was as well, or otherwise had a connection to there. Report this Post to the Staff
