Hello all again.purchased 3 rolls of halves from my bank today.got 5 40% silver.also found this 1986.what kind of machine did this.very uniform pattern

I don't know what caused this, but it's 100 percent Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint). It's only worth face value now, because it's now a cull coin.

No. It's not worth keeping, because it's heavily damaged and is only worth 50 cents. You can keep it if you want, but it's only worth face value.
