Wouldn't be a column that far into a bay. Die scratch, polishing scratch(missed brush mark) or even small linear plating bubble?

Thinking it is not an extra column because it is not parallel with the other columns.

Depends. It looks like the line maybe incuse? Which would indicate the coin was damaged. If it were an extra column, then it would be raised instead of incuse.

Also where extra columns are found they will be in several of them, not just one bay.
