The A in dollar is connected to the rim,But I don't see much material on top of the rim. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I`m learning so take this for what it`s worth. My guess is a die chip.

Thanks chafemasterj; I just noticed in my pic that there is a slight area raised on the rim. So I checked on the coin and it is raised. I don't know if that means anything or not just thought I'd add.

I just learned that a Cud is a die break at the rim. So yes. Yours is a Cud.
