Then you say that it's a 2001 Silver Kennedy ? I'm assuming that you meant Kennedy in the heading......regardless ...Congrats on the find !! WOW!!.....post a pic of it !! That'd seem pretty rare that somebody would have broken a set of Silver Proofs and spent them......but espicially the Silver Kennedy half !! That's quite the find there my friend ! jbuck Moderator United States 191045 Posts	Posted 06/24/2008 11:53 am It is very possible a silver proof was broken out of a set and eventually spent, but I have a hard time seeing any proof Kennedy half-dollar circulating long enough to get down to AU-50, since we all know how well half-dollars circulate! BTW a worn proof coin cannot be an AU, it is still a proof and AU is a business strike grade so the proper designation would be PR50(or PF50). Report this Post to the Staff
