Posted a similar 1996 LMC a couple weeks ago and everyone pointed to over polished die. This doesn't look like just an over polished die. Look at the letters in LIBERTY. Need the pros opinion.

This was caused by an Over Polished Die. How do I know this you might ask? Because, the devices are thinner in size. http://www.error-ref.com/thinning-a...gn-elements/

E&V I agree with that but wonder what caused the shape of the B in LIBERTY. The opening in the B are slanted and sort of oblong.

Ramjethero, I'm not sure exactly, but maybe die wear had something to do with it?

Liberty does look wierd. Almost like one of the new shield DD's. IGWT looks flattened in the middle of the devices from a coin roller. Notice the tops and bottoms of the letters are raised and the middles are flattened.
