I have two coins I'd like to get value and grades on. I bought them for .50 each at a yard sale, just for the coolness factor. I appreciate any and all help here. Thanks.

Great price. I bought some of these a few years back for 4 times that amount or maybe 6 times that amount. Don't remember for sure right now. The seller had a large number of them at that time. But for 50 Cents each, you've done very well.

Hi,

$4.00 to $6.00 each is about right as a retail range on cents that are struck off-center. Occasionally, as you did, you can find them for less and sometimes they can go for a little more.

Thanks,
Bill

Now, I've heard that ones that have the date and mintmark intact are more valuable than those with it missing...is this true?

Yes. Date & Mint mark are a plus for them. Harder to find off center ones for the current coin as inspections for them is more critical now. I've heard even people who bag them for the mint is also required to send back error coins to the mint to be destroyed. So the current ones would be even more valuable. But the off center ones to me seem under priced as they are really great conversation pieces.
