Wow...so low mintage.

If I recall correctly, this is the lowest mintage between RCM 5oz coins.
if budget allows, very strange not to buy it immediately.

Interesting:
are the insects in the scale with the coin diameter?
Or these will be thick coins, so the area of the coin surface will not be significant larger than 1 oz coin?

The pics show an apportioned size bug to the 5 oz. so a really big bug, probably sell out, not much market for 5 oz because they will surely do a colour version next.

@New1954

If they do in fact sell on TSC, I wouldn't hold my breath in trying to order one. It will probably be the same as the carousel coin which no one was able to order any as they were already sold out before they hit the air. Also for a coin set of only 850 minted I doubt very much that Steven Bromberg would have a large portion to go around. IMO

Thank you, John, for info

You right about 5oz re-makes, they aren't popular, in generally.

Just here we have design remake of fairly popular NCLT, and yes - the glass piece, that glued on top, should be large, relatively, this will raise the capsule as well.

Aren't these coloured glass bugs?

The pictures I saw were proportionate to the 2011-2013 set but the coin spec was 65.25mm. The RCM has released 5oz Murano coins before... specifically last winter's Poinsetta and there was a Maple Leaf coin in 2016. For both coins the capsules were raised. In this case, the three are sold as a set with their own case...

Just received my ORDER CONFIRMATION from the RCM and judging by the picture it is in fact proportionate to the large 5oz coin. Looks great. Can't wait to display this set.

The mintage for the coin set is in line with its price. Last years Canada 150 Puzzle Coin had similar mintage of 800 and price of $1867.

Undoubtedly, the coin set will sell out but not as fast as the Carousel Coin. The price of $1800 is a big deterrent.

For me its a pass, I already the have first 3 coins. It seems pointless to have the same coins but only bigger.

I missed out on the first coin in the series and sold all the other murano coins. I'm liking the large format coins so I can disply them in a glass curio cabinet.
