I'm really curious to hear if anyone thinks this is a legit error from the mint. I do find the outer rim of the coin is much narrower at the bottom vs the top so it leads me to believe it's authentic.
I agree with what has been said so far. This coin appears to have had a hard life...lots of PMD.
There does however appear to be a slight Misaligned Die error showing.

This is pretty much the description of a MAD or Misaligned Die error. I agree yours has one. Having said that, this is VERY common and commands no premium unless some of the devices are missing due to it. Even then the premium would be small.
This is all Post Strike Damage and not an error (happened after it left the U.S. Mint). It's still kinda cool, but it's heavily damaged from a rough and hard life. No premium added, but since it's a Wheat cent, it's worth Copper melt value.
