It is great that now you are looking on the tops of devices. That's the area where we will see the spread on a doubled die. But on this coin there's no spread. So something else caused the issue. It appears light contact happened on those devices. Just that area was affected. If this was a doubled die, then the devices would be enlarged. The initials are normal in size for that year. Also on a doubled die, the edge stairs or baseline could be showing spread. But every thing is normal. How can you tell what is normal? You need to make a side by side with another coin from that year that is the same RDV number. Put the two images SBS to see if they are the same. The RDV-005 has thinner devices. The RDV-006 has wider devices.

So the size of the devices are larger and the initials as well. Doing hands on checking these little things helps you to remember events that change in a series. But not seeing the spread enlarging the devices, tells me this in not die doubling, but coin damage. It reminds me of MD, but seems to high up on the devices. It maybe an ejection issue? But no premium for that either. Hang onto it to do the SBS, then you will know for sure yourself.
