Please look through all the pics I post and help me clear specially the 2 lines under Jefferson Shirt This is 1982 D what is the letter should be This is 1964. Occasionally, these will break off you and the resulting coins have a filled mintmark. That is what it looks like you have here. Again, it looks like the die has deteriorated some leaving filled in letters, but this may have been overlaid by a bit of wear that has further changed the letters into broad lines of metal.
