Is thre such a thing ? I've got one.my metal detector says it is and I don't see any copper in it.the Red Book doesn't say any thing about it.I thought it might be from a proof set,but their wasn't one in 1966.anybody out there who has the thinkin' cap for this I'd sure appreciate info.

Well it's 40% silver and should have a whiter color then normal clad Kennedys.

On the 1965~1970 40% silver halves, the "copper core" is 20% silver, making it appear "lighter" than the normal clad cores. I have noticed on a lot of them that the core is difficult to see because of this.
