So I went to a local antique shop today, and there was one dealer selling a bunch of NGC and PCGS graded coins. The problem is, all the slabs have big gaudy price stickers on them! I would like to buy a few of these coins, but before I do, I want to make sure I can remove all traces of the stickers and the adhesive. The paper part of the sticker usually peels off, leaving behind a nice sticky patch of adhesive! Is there a safe way to remove the adhesive from the slab without scratching or clouding the plastic? Thanks All

Goo Gone works wonders on adhesive residue, available in the cleaning aisle of most stores

Warm them up with a hair dryer to soften the glue and they'll peel right off.

Goo-gone will work the best. We use it all the time to remove stickers from doors before we paint them.

I scrap off what I can with my fingernail then use a touch of WD-40 on a washcloth to get the rest off.

Actually, I find that somewhat irritating myself. I get a number of coin slabs with stickers on them. I use Goo Gone also and it has always worked.
