It is not not an error: the coin took a hit and the metal forming the 1 was pushed to the side. Nice picture!

Probably caused by the crimping fingers of a rolling machine.

That sort of damage is fairly common resulting in "slanted ones" at the end of dates. It's not an error, just PMD, unfortunately.

Looks more like a moved lamination. They do stick on devices also:

It's Post Strike Damage, since you can see how the metal was pushed over and flattened.

Look at the right side of the last 1. You can see where the struck through debris used to be. The thin layer of debris floating now in the air.
