Very nice find and Struck Through error! Since you said that there might be a letter in that Struck Through, it could have been a grease plug that fell out of the die and got struck on coins. Or it could be Struck Through debris of some sort.

You mean a hard chunk of grease? Never thought of that. At the right angle on the left side is the area I question. Only thing that matches up to me is the M in unum size wise.

It could be either a lam or struck-through, and I lean toward a lamination flaw. The overall shape could be either, but the structure of the surface within the anomaly looks a lot like what is left after a peeled lam. That's my thought.

I see what you're saying. Is that something that happens pre or post strike? If it's post then that little piece fell out perfectly. No little tit of metal present where a peel broke off.

You don't have the Dropped-Letter error, but it was a thought a had in my head. Either way it's a great find!
