Johnathan, comparing location of a fake isn't useful, given they are applied by hand, variations are to be expected.
For a coin like this, where there are four known dies and the MM was applied to the die by hand, the alignment is one of the key diagnostics.
What kbbpll did - comparing it to the known genuine - is the appropriate standard.
