The Kennedy 1966 is a half dollar silver, did they stop making silver in 1964?

1966 - 40% silver. $2.45 worth of silver in it.

Kennedy half dollars were 40% silver between 1965-1970. Keep it as a pocket piece!

I'd just keep it. By itself it's not worth the time of finding a buyer.

Keep it. Take it out every now and admire it. Enjoy the way it feels heavy in your hands. Show your friends and tell them it's got a nice chunk of pure silver in it. Let them play with it, but not for too long. Let them be jealous of you!

But we all do love it they are used... putting 'em into circulation gives us a chance to pick 'em up!

Save it! Let it be the inspiration to start your set of Kennedys.

That's what I'm working on now.
