That took a heck of a whack to get that deep on a nickel.

Cents are the most common for counterstamps, but they are less frequently seen on other denominations.

Since is virtually impossible to trace two initials, your coin is interesting, but would command very little increased value. Perhaps a dollar or so.

It's been counterstamp. It's a form of Post Strike Damage, but does carry a small value over face value.

@moxking, I am wondering about your dollar or two assessment. Is that really the case? Without the wildcat stamp, the OP's coin is worth face value. I'm just trying to understand why these two letters add any value. Not trying to be argumentative--just tryin' to learn something. Thx!
