Some weird guy at a weekend flea market had a bag of lower-grade ancient coins that he was selling for slightly under a dollar each.

Most of the bag was Pantikapaion AEs, which I could hardly care less about, but I did find a few coins that I did want to buy...

...actually, this particular one was from a different (even cheaper) bargain bin. Still the same guy though.
I want to think that it's an interesting 15th or 16th century coin, but chances are that it's just a Nuremberg jeton. Would still be somewhat interesting, though

As you might have noticed, this coin is bent and holed. This leads to difficulties in both measurement and photography.

As far as I could determine, it weighs 1.75 grams, and is 24 mm across on the undamaged diameter.

Perhaps a mid-1700s Nuremburg jeton?

That's what I thought it was, but it has medieval-style Gothic lettering. Did they make Nuremberg jetons with Gothic lettering?

@j1c, I don't know a ton about these, but on this website: http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/pages/nuremberg-jetons.html
The second example appears to have the inscriptions in Gothic script.
