Me and my husband have just started coin hunting and we are not sure what this coin could be worth. As you can tell from the subject it is a 1981 D quarter. But with a full Denver mint mark. Your filled D is from a broken pin on the die that forms opening The line though untied was caused by a rolling machine if you look to the left of the you you can see the damage continues. I see nothing significant but your looking in the right places. Good pictures by-the-way. Those lines in UNITED you see could be from the coin going through coin operated machines, PMD. As for value iam not sure but I think there's no added value The filled in D was caused by a Broken Die Post, from the die chipping metal off. That line is Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint), most likely caused by a Coin Wrapping Machine. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
