I'm not sure what to think? The devices aren't thicker but they seem like imprinted under the date... any advice would be great thanks!

Die Deterioration flows to the closest rim. On your coin, on the right side of the devices on the date. The area affected on this type of Die Deterioration is on the fields, not on the devices. It is caused by die aging. No premium for these.

That Die Deterioration Doubling, caused by a worn die. This is very common and doesn't carry a premium over face value. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/
