I am SO new at this! I could use a little help, lol. I found this 1943 Steel penny and it looks like it has DDO and DDR with a crack on the reverse. I would love some experienced opinions?
The first image shows a coin scratch across the wheat ear. The UNUM is showing heavy die wear. (Keep in mind the die wore a lot faster, steel planchets and steel dies.) coin contact on the ONE CENT area. The other images are showing the same die wear. There is a die crack between LU on PLURIBUS. Date same issue with die wear. (die wear will show on the side of the coin that faces the rims. The coins surface is rough like the coin was reprocessed. So you have a steel Wheat cent. Countdown 49
To CCF! What you have here is a normal Steel Cent. Although, it's been scratched and reprocessed. It's not a Doubled Die Obverse or Reverse. But, I'll give you a good website, where you can study real Doubled Dies that are listed. doubleddie.com
