Been finding some good stuff in this old bank box. Prob 100 plus doubled columns. This one was the most significant & easy to match. So many on some years! Thought is was 009 at first. Does have a small crack on col#1 & crack above col#5 in cornice which doesn't match. Bar location up & down next to Lincoln put me at 032.

First one I've found with a significantly large bar. I have a crap load of these to go through & match up. Found a 1972D DDO-006 in this box also. Having a hard time taking pics of it.

Yes it has. Got the box from my old boss who bought it 5-6 years ago. Only yrs 10,11,12 shield cents in it. About 10 09s. Had a lot of copper in it. Now I have all these little piles to go through on my desk lol

These bar cents started about 1996. They are in various strengths and weaknesses. Of varying sizes. So back in the day, when they were being listed on coppercoins, the required length was the length of the arm from shoulder to elbow. So many got listed. But I made a chart to ID these. But it never caught on. I'm glad that John Wexler is listing these. I need to catch up with my unlisted ones. I have 5 rolls of these to research. I was saving them for a friend. I now see he must have turned them over to John. Great choice. But because I made this chart, he (Bill) contacted me. What made m think of that list, was my longest bar find. It's on the chart marked 'strongest'.
