Howdy it's your newbie from sacramento, going through my pocket change...Came across this penny....the 8 has a dent in it...Any thoughts...Also I'm still learning how to resize and focus the pictures..please let me know

It looks parallel to the rim, so it may have been damaged in a vending machine.

Looks like it hit most all the devices on the perimeter. Maybe a coin roller/wrapper or vending machine. Thanks, Doug.
