Quite a guy! Not only did he create the fields of mechanics and optics as we know them, and (with Liebnitz) create calculus, but ... HE WAS INTO COINS  @t360, my wife is a big student of Tudor and Stuart history, so I have been showing her your fabulous streak of Queen Anne coins. Though I already gave her a nice shilling some years ago, I fear I am now looking just a little inadequate in this department.

Thx @tdz. Your 6 Groschen earlier today was pretty sweet. I agree that we will see a bunch of Polish coins as we go back into the 17th Century.

Who would have guessed that Newton designed a coin/coronation medal? Master of The Royal Mint from 1700-1727. Pretty cool. That was one accomplished man.
