I'm relatively new to this forum (didn't post anything after creating this account) and I want to know how much a complete set of Franklin halfs (all years, all mints) is worth. Assuming they are mostly in circulated condition. I finally finished collecting all of them and I want to sell it off. The book I collected then in is a "Library of Coins" book. It is blue and sports all the mintages from 1948 to 1963. It has an additional slot that I filled with a 1964 Kennedy half. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

It depends on the condition of the coins, but my best guess using PCGS figures is somewhere between $300-$400 for a higher grade circulated date/mm set. I could be way off, though.

You can't sell here til you have enough posts but check ebay for complete sets. If you were to price out individually I'd say think $7.00-8.50(lower mintage) but I would venture a guess that they would go as a set for less then $200, more like $150-175.

I don't want to sell here, I just want to know if there is any additional value in selling sets.

The value of circulated sets are influenced most by the daily silver spot price.
Only a few of them are worth much more than spot in circulated grades.
Yes, they will sell faster as a set, probably for $20-30 less than individual sales, but it would be a lot more work to sell them individually.

I put a circulated set together and averaged $7 a coin. The circulated sets on ebay sell around $245.

Very common set on ebay, and the commission will set you back, but good luck! to the CCF!

Welcome OP and @Slider23 you did well to get $1 above melt including shipping! That can be a lot of fun to bide time, while hunting for less common species of coins to show. I did that with Benji's & WLH as fun way of stacking silver, too. Go to "Advanced" under ebay search and type " Franklin half Complete Set" and check the box "Completed Auctions" then search.

That depends on the coins condition and the Silver melt prices.

From what I can tell, it'll be 200 to 600 dollars, but always be prepared in case it's more. Id say 600 dollars is safe if you're buying all the coins.

For a circulated set, figure about $260 to $320 depending on condition. Coinfrog is right. The fees will really eat into whatever profit you may realize.
