I'm not sure if you can see it in the pucture, but I inherited a bunch if old wheat pennies from my grandmother and finally went through them. I found this 1943 s cent with clear double strike in the date. You can see it very well on the 9 and the first 4. I was just curious if it would be worth having it graded to sell? Sorry about the pic being sideways... they keep loading that way from my phone. :/

What Double Strike? There's no Double Strike. That's circulation wear the flattened the devices in the date. It's Post Strike Damage.

Can you see it now? The 9 has 2 bottom lines.

It's really hard to tell but if I were to say it's anything, its a die chip. Maybe even some junk trapped in the 9. Try to take a tooth pick and see if it will come off. If not I'm sure it's a die chip

Probably a die chip, agreed, but this pic doesn't help much.

That sticky stuff in the 9 of the date looks like gunk. See if you can try to get it off.

I'll try to get a better picture and clean it up some more. But I promise... under the magnifying glass you can see it has 2 bottoms on the 9 and the first 4 has what looks like a double strike on the slanted line. I didn't want to clean it too much, for fear of damaging the cent. So I just wiped it with an alcohol wipe.

Cuzimcute00 I too, would be searching for insight from the informative members here and I do see the double 9 and the front angle on the first 4 being doubled also.

Note the 9 is flattened. Damaged. Not a die issue, coin accident.
