Hey there y'all, I finally make an account after relying on this site pretty religiously for the last 2 years since I started collecting. I've had this coin for awhile now but with it having the possiblilty of what it could be, I always thought a guy like me would never find one. I kept it anyways cause it was in good shape and I just had a gut feeling to not throw it in the coinstar bin. I'd consider myself an intuitive person, so when I was at work last week and me being an electrician I don't even think about coins at work and out of the blue this coin pops up and something tells me to revisit this coin. So now looking at it with limited technology I was able to snap a few good pics but the lighting is the way they photograph coins on PCGS or anything but idk how to filter or direct the light like they can. Die markers are there, and with a loupe you can see the clear lines of separation. I'm from Pleasanton, CA and coin shops are very few and far in between , which I dont know they specialize in errors and variety coins. So I figured I'd go to the place who hasn't steered me wrong since I started this here hobby. Thanks CCF for your wisdom, time and opinions. It's greatly appreciated and I hope I found the big fella -Chuck Ps I have a ton more pics if needed Edited by Chuckw051588 06/27/2018 7:19 pm

Welcome! Certainly not the big one, no more pics needed. This is what the big one looks like...

To CCF! I'm sorry, but your coin is not a Doubled Die Obverse. No signs of extra thickness or doubling is present. You have a normal coin. Here's a link on how Doubled Dies are created. http://doubleddie.com/58222.html

It's gotta be the photos I'm able to take then, I'm browsing photos of this coin and actually zooming in on the photos I posted and you can see the doubling, I just don't have the camera to take perfect photos but instead of glancing just open the photo and zoom. I posted 2 more to original post as well

No more photos. You DO NOT have the 1969 S doubled die. It must look exactly like the photo bobby listed above. If it doesn't look like that to a T, it's not it. You should have no questions about it. If you have to question if it is that, than it's not. I could see a 1969 doubled die without good pictures. You could take bad pictures of the 1969 S doubled die big one, and we still would be able to tell. Take the answer. 100,000,000% sure it's not the big one.

No additional pics are needed. This is very clearly NOT the doubled die, it's not even close. Sorry. You've been given crystal clear images to compare it to.

There's no doubling. We already told you too. Don't even try fighting with us. It's NOT the big 1969 S DDO, period! End of story!

Your coin on top, doubled die on bottom. The difference is night and day.

Even giving benefit of doubt for the lesser twoDDOs still isn't one.

Chuck, if you've been around for couple years, then I'm thinking you're all ready one of us more so than others. Someone interested in coins and looking to gain and or share knowledge thereof. My take on your coin images is no to DDO. Note: lighting can play tricks. Also compare the mint mark locations and think about it. Thanks, Doug.
