What type of error do you think this is? And, have you seen it before? It looks like a design/die/striking error, but I am unsure. The "8" in 1928 is very low.

To CCF!! That's just a very old, worn and beat up Buffalo nickel that you have. All of this damage was caused by years of circulation wear. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint)
