Hi I stumbled upon what I thought might be a die break but haven't come across many of these. Does this look legit or is it PMD?

I know the pictures aren't the best but the "break" appears to go from one side of the rim to the other clean across.

I'd love any comments

Oh that's definitely something new to me. Is this typically something pretty unique or would it not really change the potential value of the coin?

Depending on the lamination if it were huge, then it would increase the value. If minor, it might drive a buyer away from it.

Sp prices do vary. I had a wheat one similar to you coin and never got a bid. Sometimes Memorial ones will bring 50Cents to a Dollar. The older and stronger bring the big bucks.

Wow thanks for sharing! Those are great examples and actually answers several mysteries of other coins that I have. I'll have to go back through and review them.
Rest in Peace

The key proof for a lamination peel or PSD is that the lamination will show a ghost image where it peeled off. PSD obliterates that area.
