A close look at the leading edge of the wing is needed with these, when it comes to grading. The braiding in the feathers above the forehead is another area to look at, and must be separated from a weak strike in this area, looking for luster (or lack of), on those high points. The exposed fields are reasonably clean for a coin without a rim, that is made from relatively soft gold alloy. I admit that grading BLP gold for me at least, is tricky. Report this Post to the Staff
