Nice find and congratulations! That's called the "Spitting Horse" Die Crack, and is collectable to some.

You're very welcome and no problem! I remember when these were the "hype" back in the day.

Is that a die crack or a die scratch? The difference. Does it flow behind the devices or over the top of the devices?

Looks like a die scratch. The MD is taller than the DS. Also the Wider part of the 'C' is not showing it. Die scratch it is. Hard to believe people collect this stuff. They give the coin a cute name and then unload them on the rubes. Oh well, I can get my varieties cheaper when they spend their money on what they think looks neat.

It's pretty insane that some people will pay high premiums for minor things like this.

A fellow poster from another site was selling on ebay. He had a die clash that went for high dollars. I bit on it, but it went away quick, and he had a DDO and I got it for starting bid. Everybody bidding on other stuff. The variety got away from them for opening bid. Sweet for me.

The line not running cleanly over the lower loop of the C can be explained in more than one way. It is not seen on this example, either: http://goccf.com/t/246171Collect what you like. It's not a contest.

Quote: What is the difference from this... And Mine They are different die cracks (struck by a different reverse die), but similar in that they are both die cracks in the same area, "cute name" or not.
