Quote: This one is for sure RPM but can not find on VV or else where. You can't find it anywhere because it isn't an RPM.. Sorry Bate -- keep looking.. Swamp

It's NOT an RPM. It's just Zinc Rot, from the Zinc core being exposed.

Bate if this were a 1983-D RPM, it would have been listed long time ago. It is from the split plating that the zinc is also working. Also if it were a RPM, then the upper area would show the same mark. It not. Even RPMs can experience split plating on the Zincolns.

How can you tell if your car is rusting out? Do you have to take it to a specialist to find that out? How can you tell your trees leaves are drying up and falling off if you tree is dying or is there some other issue. Some thing are obvious when the happen over and over. On a doubled die, the three places we use a lot, don't always had the same number of coins listed. Each attributer determines what is listable for them. Thus one may have twenty listed, another Sixty, another over one hundred. Each one determines if they are listable for them. Having too few is discouraging, and listing too many make collecting them all like trying to collect every snow flake that falls cause each one is different. So cause and effect. On die doubling and RPMs, each coin struck with that die, will have the same RPM or doubled die on them. (discounting die states) On Machine Doubling, it may never happen the same way twice. With split planchets, the dies are normal and each split can be different, but with the MD and DD, they are the same, coin to coin. Other events are not die varieties. Thus we call them die varieties for a reason. MD is a striking even. Split plating another striking event. Die cracks, chips, breaks are all die events. They started out normal, but now an event happened and the die continues on dealing with it. Cause and effect.

It's classic zinc rot 100,000,000% don't ask questions and reject the correct answer till you get the wrong one.
Or you might have to learn the hard way and send it to wexlers ans pay about 4 bucks. Maybe then you will learn to listen to us lol
It is zinc rot. The zinc under the plating is rotting and lifting the plating up!!
Why a guy who calls us experts is challenging our knowledge when he is asking questions is besides me. Watch everyone but you say it's zinc rot. Send images to wexler and tell him he is wrong too.

Oh dont mind me. I'm just being realistic, I don't sugar coat things lol. Some ppl may think I'm a little harsh, but don't take it that way. But I am just wondering, why you don't think this (what I am pointing out) is a doubled die but you think that mint mark is a rpm
