VLDS and a lot of circulation ware with some MD and I agree that it looks like the mint mark took a hit!

Also a broken post on the mint mark. Kind of the worst of everything. Very spendable.

This is the sort of coin that many new collectors locate. Plenty of unusual details that get you excited but, unfortunately, are not rare or valuable. You have a keen eye, keep searching and it'll pay off.

About the last half of the coin from each die that is retired, could have struck coins just like this before they retired.
